When I first read this question my mind immediately jumped to thinking about different cities and regions of the world. Then I paused and to a moment to considered this question.
That’s when it occurred to me. Is there really a someplace that I would not want to visit?
I want to travel to so many different places, although, it is not in my cards right now. Greece, Italy(Rome), Japan, Alaska, Easter Island, these places hold many interesting and historic sites.
So what would make me not want to visit a place? High Crime rate, threats of violence. Nope.
The places I enjoy least are crowded and overun with people. It’s not that I’m agoraphobic or anything, it’s just I don’t like dealing with most people for more than a few minutes. Small talk pains my soul. The truth is, I would spend hours, days, weeks, or longer isolated with some people having deep rich conversations rather than spend three minutes talking about shallow meaningless topics that come up day to day.
I did a quick internet search for the most crowded cities in the world. So I’m going with these as my NO Go List.
- Tokyo, Japan
- Delhi, India
- Shanghai, China
- Mumbai, India
- São Paulo, Brazil
- Beijing, China
- Mexico City, Mexico
- Osaka, Japan
- New York-Newark, United States
- Cairo, Egypt
This is just a quick list for the sake of this post. And by no means am I saying I will never visit these locations. Cairo is a place I think I might like to visit due to the historical significance. And I live 30 miles for NYC. I’ve been there and I could uncomfortably go back.
I think I’m going to do some research and learn what there is to see in each of these cities and maybe I’ll change the list.
