Sometimes a few words are enough to shift the way we see the day.
This line from Yogi Berra is both funny and profoundly true. We’re so used to doing, fixing, replying, reacting—that we forget the quiet power of just watching. Watching without rushing in to judge, to solve, to speak. You can’t really see anything when you’re too busy trying to control it.
I’ve started practicing this more with my kids. Noticing how they play. Letting a moment unfold before I step in. I’m realizing: observation is underrated. And often, it reveals exactly what I needed to know. Not through effort—but through patience.
