Sometimes a few words are enough to shift the way we see the day.
This one doesn’t just shift the view—it flips the whole table.
I’ve always had this illusion that I more or less understand what’s going on. I know how a toaster works. I can parallel park on the first try (sometimes). I understand the plot of Inception—mostly.
But then a quote like this comes along and reminds me that my brain, however clever it thinks it is, is still playing in the kiddie pool of cosmic understanding.
The universe isn’t just quirky. It’s unknowably strange. Strange on a level we’re not even wired to perceive. It’s galaxies we’ll never see, particles that defy rules, deep-sea creatures that glow like neon signs. It’s dreams that don’t make sense and instincts we can’t explain.
And maybe that’s the point.
Maybe we’re not here to conquer the mystery—we’re here to be amazed by it. To laugh at it. To wonder out loud. To ask questions like, say…
