“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it, it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.”
Sometimes a few words are enough to stop you in your tracks.
Today’s Thought of the Day isn’t just about patriotism—it’s about perspective. The freedom to scroll, speak, rest, and breathe freely? Someone paid for that. Not in theory. In full.
I don’t always get it right—honoring that sacrifice. Most of the time I’m too busy or too distracted. But today I’m pausing. Not because it’s a holiday, but because it’s a reminder. That the flag isn’t just waving—it’s carrying memory. Breath. Lives that ended so mine could continue in peace.
