Sometimes a few words are enough to shift the way we see the day.
Vanderbilt’s quote isn’t an attack on education—it’s a declaration that life has its own curriculum. You can learn theory, or you can live experience. One isn’t better than the other, but if you only sit in classrooms, you might miss the messy, brilliant lessons life throws your way. Personally, some of my best “education” came from risks, failures, and weird detours—definitely not from a textbook.
