Welcome back to Low Two Pair, where we serve up a daily Thought of the Day and Question of the Day, one to challenge your thinking, one to make you reflect (or laugh, or both). Today we’re unpacking what it really means to make a mistake, and sharing some love for the animated movies that still have us reaching for tissues.
Let’s get into it.
🧠 Thought of the Day: You made a mistake. It doesn’t mean you made a bad decision.
This is a hard one for people like me, people who like things neat, resolved, and preferably correct. But life doesn’t play by those rules. You can make the best decision you’re capable of with the information you have, and it can still go sideways. That doesn’t make it a bad decision it just means you’re human.
Mistakes are loud. They echo. They try to tell you something about your worth, your judgment, your future. But most of the time, they’re just results that didn’t line up with your hopes. You can make a good call and still lose the hand. I’ve learned that lesson in more ways than I’d like, and I’m still learning it. (Hello, parenthood. Hello, business. Hello, 3 AM brain spirals.)

🎬 Question of the Day: What is your favorite animated movie?
I tried to pick just one. I failed. (But again, see above, we’re not calling that a bad decision.)
So my answer is both Encanto and Coco.
Encanto hits me in the identity. It’s a masterclass in family dynamics, emotional pressure, and the roles we trap ourselves in—usually out of love. Plus, it gave us We Don’t Talk About Bruno, which lives rent-free in my head and probably yours too.
And Coco? That movie wrecked me—in the best way. Family, memory, music, loss. That final “Remember Me”? Forget it. I’m a puddle. It’s beautiful and haunting and life-affirming all at once.
I love asking this question because your favorite animated movie often says something honest about you. Maybe it’s nostalgia. Maybe it’s the themes. Maybe you just like singing crabs. Whatever it is, it tells a story—and not just the one on screen.

So what’s your favorite animated movie? Are you Team Pixar, Team Studio Ghibli, or Team “I watched Shrek so many times the VHS melted”?
And when was the last time you gave yourself grace for a decision that didn’t turn out the way you hoped?
