What’s the best type of cheese for you?
Look, I’m not saying I’ve eaten mozzarella sticks for dinner and then followed them up with a slice of white American cheese “for dessert”… but I’m also not not saying that.
But sometimes questions like this tell us more than we expect.
What we crave says something about where we’ve been. Cheese might seem like a silly question on the surface—but then you remember how a mozzarella stick can taste like a childhood birthday party, or how a grilled cheese made with American slices on white bread can feel like a warm hug from your past.
So yeah—give me a good mozzarella stick, hot enough to stretch when I pull it apart. And give me white American cheese for the grilled cheese that’s more about comfort than culinary achievement. It’s not fancy. It’s not for charcuterie. But it’s perfect.
