What random childhood commercial still takes up valuable real estate in your brain?
Let’s be real—mine’s Oscar Mayer. “My bologna has a first name…” and the rest of that song lives rent-free in my head like a squatter with a record player.
But sometimes questions like this tell us more than we expect. The fact that a single jingle from the early ’90s outlasted half my high school education says a lot about how our brains work—and what they hold onto. Nostalgia. Repetition. Emotion. Even cheese.
So, what’s your lingering jingle? The Mentos Freshmaker? The Toys “R” Us kid? The Kool-Aid Man crashing through a wall?
Tell me, and let’s laugh (and cringe) together.
