Question and Thought for the Day February 15, 2025
Question of the Day: What’s something you once loved but have completely lost interest in?
Thought of the Day: Wouldn’t it be a great universe if sarcasm helped.
If rolling my eyes and delivering a well-timed quip could actually fix things, I’d be a Nobel Prize winner by now. Imagine a world where sarcasm paid your bills, healed relationships, and solved global crises. Instead of therapy, just a daily dose of snark. Instead of negotiations, a masterclass in deadpan delivery. If only.
But let’s be honest—sarcasm rarely helps. Sure, it can lighten the mood or highlight absurdity, but it rarely changes minds or moves the needle on anything important. It’s a great coping mechanism, but a lousy solution. Sometimes, the hard things require sincerity, no matter how much we’d rather hide behind humor.

That brings me to today’s Question of the Day:
What’s something you once loved but have completely lost interest in?
For me, there are plenty—things that felt like essential parts of my identity at one point but now barely cross my mind. A TV show I used to swear by. A hobby I once considered a lifelong passion. That one band whose lyrics I had memorized but now don’t even appear on my playlists.
Losing interest in something isn’t necessarily bad—it’s just proof that we change. We evolve. What once sparked joy might now feel like a relic of a past version of ourselves. And that’s okay. Some things are meant to be left behind.
So, what’s something you once loved but no longer care about? Do you ever miss it? Or do you look back and wonder why you ever liked it in the first place?
Drop a comment—I’d love to hear your thoughts.
