When I watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas, I always look forward to the part where the Grinch thinks he’s won at stealing Christmas.
He get’s up on the mountaintop with a sleigh full of joy, or so he thinks. Then off in the distance, whispers on the wind rise up, the non-sensical lyrics, “Fah who foraze! Dah who doraze!”
He has not stolen Christmas after all.
As Christmas songs, go, it doesn’t get much better than this one. It’s calming and upbeat all at once. Much like the meaning of the Christmas Star, it means a little something different to everyone.
So on this day, I invite you to listen again with new ears and see what it means to you today.
