Thought of the Day: “There are 3 kinds of people: those who make it happen, those who watch it happen, and occasionally, someone who doesn’t know what happened.”
Some thoughts are mirrors, and this one shows you exactly where you stand. At any given time, you’re probably one of these three people. Some days you’re a mover, you make things happen through effort, courage, and a little caffeine. Other days, you’re a watcher, scrolling through the lives of people who seem to have more energy, more time, or more luck. And then there are the days when you just blink, look around, and think, “Wait—what did happen?”
The funny part is that none of these categories are permanent. You can drift from one to another before breakfast. You might make things happen at work but watch life happen at home. You might be the hero of your morning routine and the confused bystander of your evening chaos.
But here’s what matters: awareness. The moment you realize which one you’re being, that’s when you regain the power to shift. To move from watching to doing. From confusion to clarity.
“Making it happen” doesn’t mean control or perfection. It means participation. It means putting your fingerprints on your day instead of leaving it smudge-free and untouched. It’s not about how big the outcome is; it’s about showing up with intention, curiosity, and maybe a bit of chaos management.
If life is a story, you’re either writing it, reading it, or trying to remember the plot. Choose to write. Even if the sentences are messy. Even if you’re not sure what chapter you’re in. Because the alternative, being a passive audience member in your own life, isn’t really living.
So, take stock: what kind of person are you right now? And if you don’t love the answer, good news, you can change it before this day is over.
