I’ve got strong feelings about this one, and I’m not shy about it. My ranking goes: Autumn, Spring, Winter, Summer.
- Autumn wins easily, crisp air, cozy vibes, football, apple cider donuts, and that perfect balance between energy and comfort. It’s the season that makes you want to pull out sweaters and start something new.
- Spring comes next. It’s the great reset, the smell of rain, the return of green, and the hopeful feeling that things are beginning again (allergies aside).
- Winter gets a surprising third place for me. Sure, it’s cold and gray, but it’s also holidays, family time, and the kind of stillness that makes the world feel smaller and closer. Plus, nothing beats that first real snowfall.
- Summer … well, someone has to come last. Long days are great, but the heat, humidity, and sticky car seats outweigh the fun of BBQs and beach trips for me. By July, I’m already dreaming of cooler days.
The funny thing is, your order probably says more about you than the seasons themselves. Some people thrive in extremes blazing heat or deep snow. Others, like me, prefer the transitions: the in-betweens of Autumn and Spring. It’s less about temperature and more about personality.
So, what’s your order? Does Summer deserve more credit? Should Winter get bumped up? Or are you Team Autumn like me, happily sipping cider while everyone else complains about raking leaves?
