There are so many choices. Reagan and Gorbachev sparring about nuclear arms. Ben Franklin talking with literally anyone (he’d probably charm or annoy them, depending on the day). Tonya Harding and her hitman hashing out bad decisions. But me? I think I’d want to overhear the conversation between General Lee and General Grant at the end of the Civil War. Imagine the weight in that room—the silence between words probably said as much as the words themselves.
