Chocolate pudding.
I used to think it was just for kids, hospital trays, or nostalgic TikToks. But then a friend told me she eats it three times a week because joy doesn’t need a special occasion. And you know what? She was right.
Sometimes a conversation changes everything. It’s not that someone wins and someone loses. It’s that you hear something that shifts the tectonic plates of your assumptions—even just a little. You stop clinging to your certainty and start wondering if maybe, just maybe, there’s another way to see it.
I’ve changed my mind about all kinds of things. I’ve defended bad movies and questionable fashion choices, only to realize I was missing the point. I’ve softened my stance on big things too—how I parent, what I believe about success, what it means to rest.
It doesn’t always feel good in the moment. But the older I get, the more I value people who make me think, not just agree with me.
