Every morning on Low Two Pair, we share a new Thought of the Day and Question of the Day—little sparks to light a fire, or at least a flicker of self-awareness before that second cup of coffee kicks in. Today’s post is all about small wins, summer anthems, and why the right soundtrack can turn a Tuesday into a triumph.
Let’s talk about how to win the day… and which songs scream, sing, or shout summer the loudest.

Thought of the Day: Win the day and go on your way.
This one’s been on a loop in my brain like a good beat—short, catchy, and wildly effective.
“Win the day and go on your way.”
No need to conquer the month. Or the quarter. Or the existential crisis that creeps in around 3 PM.
Just win today. Whatever that looks like for you—getting your kid to eat half a vegetable, hitting “send” on the email you’ve been avoiding, or not spiraling into an internet hole of celebrity divorces from 2004. (We’ve all been there.)
Lately, I’ve found that zooming in and narrowing the scope of my expectations is exactly what makes me feel more capable. One small win. Then another. Like climbing stairs. Or stacking Jenga pieces and not pulling out the wrong one (for once).

Question of the Day: What song screams summer to you?
Okay, I’ll go first: it’s anything by The Beach Boys (unless it’s their awful Christmas song). Every time I hear those sweet harmonies, I’m instantly transported to carefree summer days filled with sunshine, convertibles, and Hawaiian Shirts.
Music has a way of grabbing us by the nostalgia and not letting go. Your summer song might be about bonfires, breakups, beach days—or maybe it’s just the song that played the last time you felt really free.
Is it “Summertime” by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince? A little Kenny Chesney? Something with steel drums and zero shame?
I’m fascinated by how deeply personal this question is. Two people can hear the same song and be transported to totally different summers. One of you is falling in love under fireworks, the other is stuck in traffic with melted ice cream.
If this question makes you smile—or makes you queue up your old “Summer 2012” playlist—I’d love to hear what song does it for you.
