Sometimes a few words are enough to shift the way we see the day.
“Yay, Gravity” sounds sarcastic, silly, or maybe like something you’d say after tripping over your kid’s toy for the third time in a row. But the more I sat with it, the more it started to feel like a little whispered prayer of gratitude.
Gravity is the reason we don’t float off into space, but it’s also the reason our lives have shape. Gravity gives us structure. It keeps things in orbit—literally and figuratively. And sometimes, when everything feels out of control, saying “Yay, Gravity” is a way of saying “Thank you for holding me down in a world that constantly wants to spin.”
It reminds me that being grounded isn’t always a burden—it’s a kind of blessing.
