Sometimes the Thought of the Day and the Question of the Day go hand in hand. Todayâs post explores bravery, goodbyes, fresh hellosâand a lighthearted look at which color should pack its bags and leave forever. Letâs dig in.
If you enjoy this kind of daily spark, don’t forget: I post a new Thought of the Day and Question of the Day every morning right hereâand you can also get it delivered straight to your inbox.
Thought of the Day: “If youâre brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.” â Paulo Coelho
Goodbyes are terrifying. They’re messy. They’re awkward. And sometimes they feel like you’re volunteering to walk straight into a storm without even a decent raincoat.
But hereâs the thing: almost every good thing thatâs ever happened to me came after a goodbye I didnât want to say. Friendships that ran their course. Jobs that once felt safe but became suffocating. Old versions of myself that I finally realized werenât cutting it anymore.
Saying goodbye isnât about being heartless; itâs about being hopeful. Itâs about believing, against all odds, that something better is waiting on the other side of the door you just closed.
And honestly? Sometimes the new hello is so much cooler than you ever imagined. It might not look how you thought it wouldâbut it just might be everything you needed.

Question of the Day: What color should be retired from the world?
Alright, now that weâve gotten all emotional about bravery and transformationâŠletâs talk about the color mustard yellow for a second.
Look, I know every color has its fan club. But mustard yellow feels like the color equivalent of a group text you canât leave. Itâs loud, itâs stubborn, it clashes with everything, and no matter how hard you try, you just canât make it work.
I say we send mustard yellow off into a well-earned retirement. Let it go live a peaceful life in retro diner booths and vintage shag carpets where it belongs.
Runner-ups for retirement: neon green (which feels like a visual assault) and that weird brownish-gray shade that shows up on bad rental carpets.
What about you? Is there a color youâd happily kick off the planet?
