💭 Thought of the Day: Everyone dreams big… until they see the price tag
We all love a good dream. Start a business. Write a book. Climb a mountain. Get in shape. Travel the world. The dream itself is intoxicating—limitless possibility, dopamine-fueled motivation, and this illusion that it’s all just a few steps away.
But then comes the invoice.
Not just money. The cost is often everything but money. It’s getting up before the sun. It’s giving up comfort, skipping out on Friday nights, showing up when no one’s clapping. It’s choosing focus over fun. Sacrifice over safety. Work over waiting.
The price tag is long hours and longer doubts. It’s failure without applause. It’s pushing through even when you wonder if the dream is just an overpriced fantasy.
And that’s the thing: most people aren’t scared of dreaming. They’re scared of paying.
I’ve had dreams I shelved not because they were impossible, but because they were inconvenient. They were heavier than I expected. Costlier than I was ready for. The moment it got real, I backed off. I told myself I’d try again “when things settle down.” But dreams don’t go on sale. You either pay now or regret later.
So if you’re chasing something that scares you with its cost—good. That probably means it’s real. Keep chasing.

🧼 Question of the Day: How long can you go without a shower?
Okay. Real talk.
Three days is about my max without a shower. If I hit that 72-hour mark, I start feeling less like a human being and more like a moist barn animal. The only exception is if I’m deep in the backcountry—camping, hiking, far from plumbing. Even then, I’ll find a river, stream, or even just a collapsible water bottle and somehow make soap and water happen. I might not come out squeaky clean, but I at least want to feel human again.
It’s not just about hygiene. It’s about resetting. A shower is this weirdly underrated ritual of starting over. Washing off stress, sweat, stink, and yesterday’s failures. Some of my best thinking happens in there. Some of my worst singing too, but that’s beside the point.
So when I ask how long you can go without a shower, I’m not just asking about B.O. I’m asking: How long can you carry the weight of the day before you feel the need to rinse off and reset? For some people, it’s a daily refresh. For others, it’s once their own stench starts following them like a ghost of mistakes past.
