Which fictional world would you love to vacation in for a week?

Ducks don’t test the water first, they just start swimming.

There’s something poetic about the way ducks approach life. They don’t pause at the edge of the pond, debating whether the water is too cold or wondering if they’ll regret the plunge. They just go for it. Feet paddling, feathers floating—they adapt as they go.

How often do we get stuck in the metaphorical hesitation before the dive? We test the water endlessly, waiting for the perfect conditions, second-guessing whether we’re ready. But maybe the lesson from ducks is this: readiness isn’t a prerequisite for action. Sometimes, you just have to jump in and figure out how to swim along the way.

That brings me to the idea of escapism. We all have days where life feels a little too real, and the thought of diving into a fictional world for a while is beyond tempting.

Question of the Day: Which fictional world would you love to vacation in for a week?

I’d love to hear your answers. Would you stroll through the rolling hills of the Shire, sip butterbeer at Hogsmeade, or cruise the stars on the Millennium Falcon? Personally, I think I’d go for Narnia—chilly winters and all. It’s got that mix of magic, adventure, and talking animals that seems like the ultimate escape.

And just like the ducks, maybe we need to take the plunge into these worlds, if only in our imaginations, to remind ourselves how big and beautiful life’s possibilities can be.
