Question of the Day
If you were going to be turned into an animal, what animal would you choose to turn into?
Thought of the Day
People want you to do well, but not better than them.

When it comes to the Thought of the Day and Question of the Day, today brings us two prompts that are equal parts honest and playful. One makes us wrestle with human nature—why people cheer for us, but only up to a point. The other takes us out of the human world entirely and asks us to imagine life with fur, feathers, or scales. Let’s dig in.
Thought of the Day: People want you to do well, but not better than them. — Alex Hormozi
Oof. That stings because it’s true, doesn’t it? Most folks will clap for you as long as your success doesn’t shine brighter than theirs. It’s like they want you to win the race, but only if they’re still a step ahead when you cross the finish line.
I’ve felt this plenty of times. When you’re doing well, people will compliment you, encourage you, even use you as proof that hard work pays off. But when you start doing a little too well, suddenly the air gets colder. Jokes get sharper. Support feels thinner.
The truth is, this isn’t really about you. It’s about how your progress holds up a mirror to someone else’s insecurities. Your growth might remind them of the places they’re stuck, and that’s uncomfortable.
The best antidote? Keep going anyway. Don’t shrink your light to keep others comfortable. People may not always celebrate when you pass them by, but you’ll sleep well knowing you stayed true to your path.
Question of the Day: If you were going to be turned into an animal, what animal would you choose to turn into?
Here’s where we swing from deep truths to imaginative play. I love questions like this because they reveal something about how we see ourselves, or who we wish we could be.
If I had to pick? I think I’d go with a hawk. There’s something appealing about soaring above it all, having a bird’s-eye view of the world, and swooping in with precision when it matters. Plus, no traffic.
Some people might say dog (for loyalty), cat (for independence), or dolphin (for playfulness and brains). Each choice says a lot about what we value in life. Would you rather be admired, feared, free, or cozy on the couch?

Now I want to hear from you:
- Have you ever felt the shift when people stopped rooting for you and started resenting your success?
- And, just as importantly, what animal would you choose to become—and why?
