Events, small or large have the potential to change everything.
Recently, my good friend Seth wrote on his blog 5 sentences.
That’s easy to say but hard to visualize.
Even a puddle has more drops than we can count.
It’s got to be difficult to be a drop.
And yet…
What else could the ocean be made of?
When I read it, I thought about the forces of nature. Hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, and floods.
Everything that immediately came to mind was something sudden and violent that could change the landscape in an instant.
I re-read because it was only 5 sentences and I had the time. I though about drops of rain. I thought how a little rain sustained over weeks has the potential to change the landscape just like a hurricane that rages for a few hours.
A breeze that continues to blow non-stop(with a gust here or there) is going to break limbs. And a nice little stream can carve out the Grand Canyon over time.
The meandering stream, the light rain, and the daily wind are also forces of nature, but not the kind normally associated with the term. The thing about a force of nature, you can slow it down but you can’t stop it. It’s going to find a way
You are a force of nature and you can’t be stopped when you choose to keep going. People will try to slow you down,
Drop by drop, rain fills a puddle, then a lake, keeps going. You want to accomplish something, act like of force of nature.
Are you going to hit quick and hard like a hurricane to make your mark? Or are you going to take slow and steady approach of the stream, taking your time but always making small changes over time.
This is sound advice that I extracted from my friend Seth’s Blog
Go out and be a force of nature. Make a ruckus.
