Welcome May. We are looking forward to you this year more than most years.
You see, after 46 days of closures, in just one more day, things will start to reopen here in New Jersey on Saturday.
We still need to taken precautions but for now, it seems the worst is behind us.
Honestly, it doesn’t make much of a difference to me. I’ve been going to work(when I need to) and to the stores all along. Aside from naked shelves and masks, it’s been business as usually.
For so many others, life has been a nightmare. Without it, folks have lost their sense of purpose, stress levels are on the rise, and the world is bleak.
As we prepare to reopen, even in the limited ways, I want to remind everyone to show some respect.
You have no idea what your neighbor has been dealing with at home. Homeschooling children, illness, stranded somewhere you don’t want to be (hello quarantined cruise ship staff)
When it’s 70 degrees and sunny this Saturday, people are going to want to be outside running in the park, playing games with their families, or even sun bathing.
Please be mindful of other people. Respect goes both ways and everyone has been dealing with things we have never dealt with before.
So smile, say hello, keep your distance, relax and have a good time. Remember, things can close again real quick so don’t be selfish.
