On July 6, 2019, my wife was due to give birth to our first child in 80 days. That morning, I had just dropped off some things were donating when I had an idea.
It was a simple idea, wear my Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers until the baby was born and take a picture of them each day to watch them change over the course of the 80 days. I also wanted to tell the story of all the things we did during those days.
So every days for months, I faithfully took photos of my Chucks and posted them on my social media. I had a lot of fun trying to keep the photos interesting because I tended to be in the same dozen places.
I’d been contemplating a slide show with all the pictures and this seemed like the perfect chance.
