The Joy of Christmas is getting close. It’s December 1, just 24 more days until Christmas 2019. Here in New Jersey, the holiday lights have begun to illuminate the roads and we’re even preparing for a measurable amount of snow tomorrow.
I try to love this season each year. In the past 15 years, I have not always been able to enjoy it however, due to loneliness and depression.
I think this year could be different. It’s hard to believe my wife and I are spending our third Christmas together. That alone makes me smile, but also this year, my wife and I get to enjoy the season with our son who was born in September.
These past 11 weeks since his birth have been overwhelmingly filled with love, joy, and happiness in spite of a deep family loss.
In the spirit of the season of joy, which is Christmas, I have decided to do #25DaysofJoy. Every day now until Chistmas, I plan to share something joyful. I’m just making this up as I go, so I don’t know how this is going to take shape.
At the end of the month, I’m just hoping I can put a smile on people’s faces and make you all feel good.
To wrap up post 1 in #25DaysofJoy, here are the two people who bring me more joy and happiness than I ever thought possible.
